It's ME!!!

Good Evening Internet Friends!

It has been an entire week since my last post!

Got home from vacation, got my son ready for school, then his three day camping trip with school, and attended ACLS certification for the past two days!

I celebrated passing by crafting this evening:

Since my brain is "mush" right now, and I don't think I could "save" anyone at present, I decided to use the Mojo-Monday 361 sketch.

I used all Stampin' Up,  albeit expired, product (shame on me...).

After the week I have had this was a good break, although a little too complex to do right now.

Off to bed now, as lots of house work, baking and cooking to get caught up on over this coming weekend.

Friday Feature Card!

I made this card yesterday for my Friday Feature entry into Karina's Krafting Crew weekly group.

There is no stamping on this because I spent the better part of early yesterday morning at my favorite local Emergency Department for my asthma (it's fall againnnnnnnn).

I needed to make something with NO STAMPING as even the mild scent of the ink would probably have sent me back to the Emergency Department (and no there are no rewards for frequent visits), so this is what I came up with:

The design for this card came from Mojo Monday 309 which I found online while sitting around waiting to breath.

I think this card is FUN!

Oh S"crap"! It's Monday

So, it's Monday which means Oh S"Crap"!

For today's use of scrap I have two pieces of random brown.  The brown layer was run through the Cuttlebug with Stripes Embossing Folder, and then the raised stripes were sanded to give a different color/look/feel to them.

The random piece of orange was cut and I used the Scallop Trim border for it.

The main feature of the card is the Wonderfall stamp set.  The images are stamped in Versa Mark, then clear embossing powder and then the colors are sponged on.  I used Old Olive, Wild Wasabi, Early Espresso, Chocolate Brown, So Saffron, Tangerine Tango and Peach Parfait.  Three wooden buttons with hemp twine and TAH DAH!

Stamp Set of the Month

For the month of October the Stamp Set of the Month that I chose was the Wonderfall stamp set.

The Maple Leaf Forever

I have entitled this card The Maple Leaf Forever, because I love the maple leaf!  I love the song, and so while putting the leaves on these cards I of course made sure a maple leaf appeared on each one, and as I adhered them I sang the song, and had a history lesson with my son!
I do not often purchase die cuts as I love my Cricut, however in this case I did buy the Stampin Up Leaves #2 die just because of the maple leaf it contained.  All the points looked right and made me so patriotic to have it.  This card is made with Early Espresso card stock, the border is designer series paper pumpkin pie from the Brights collection, and the leaves are made using real read, old olive, daffodil delight and pumpkin pie all sponged with a bit of chocolate chip ink to "dry" them up like real leaves.  Some were embossed with the perfect polka dots folder, some with the square lattice folder, and some left plain.  The buttons are a left over from the spring mini catalogue.  Hope this inspires your own creativity...
