Sunday FUNday...

Good Evening Internet Friends!

Started Sunday FUNday out with homemade flax seed oatmeal waffles and fresh strawberries:

Delicious!!!

Still had a ridiculous amount of strawberries in the refrigerator that I stumbled across yesterday while out so I decided to make Strawberry Jam:

Used my Weck Jars but still had jam leftover.  Remembered that I had purchased some cute little gingham jars at the Dollarama some time ago.  Decided I would give them a try and then use them as Christmas presents to neighbors and acquaintances.  They WORKED!!!

The temperature was kind of cool today so I also used the opportunity to bake a batch of Oatmeal, Coconut, Salted Carmel Chip cookies for lunch boxes later this week:

After dinner I took my bike out and rode 8.61 miles through the neighbourhood.  The old wives' tale of first full moon after my birthday being full frost is likely going to be true.  It is SUPER cold out there.  Hands were solid cold when I returned home.  Very beautiful night out there:

Hope this inspires your own creativity.  Wishing you all the BEST Day EVER Monday.  Stay Safe out there.

ME Want Cookie!!!

Good Evening Internet Friends!!

Today I decided that we needed cookies.  That's right.  NEEDED cookies not just wanted them.

Had a package of m&m's in the pantry that somehow had escaped my notice..so we made Oatmeal Coconut m&m Cookies:

YUMMY!!!  And yes.... I had more than one of these.🍪

Hope this inspires your own creativity and wishing you all the BEST Day EVER Friday tomorrow.

Day 19...

Good Evening Internet Friends!

Soooooo here it is Day 19.  Of what???  I am not even sure any more.  I am counting days but to what end I have no answer.

Day off today so other than walking the dog through and around the neighborhood making sure to avoid EVERYONE by at least 2
metres we did not leave the house.

Baked Lemon Sugar Cookies for tea this afternoon:

Yes....I may have purchased an entire bag of lemons at Costco before we went in to Self Isolation🍋🍋.  Need to use them of course and these cookies are one of my favourites.

In between loads of laundry I also put more of the center block together on my Lush quilt.  This is the Block of the Month from Sew Divine that I started last year (last decade):

Heading out with doggie for last walk of the evening now.

Hope this inspires your own creativity and wishing y'all the BEST Day EVER Sunday tomorrow.  Stay safe at home, and WASH your hands please.

Cheers

Day 8...

Good Evening Internet Friends!!

Day 8 of Self Isolation for us.  Kiddo is now on to his second week of NO School.  It is supposed to be Spring Break but alas we cannot go anywhere.  We walk the dog every morning and evening when there is low risk of the neighbors and children being out.  Other than that we try to keep busy and maintain some form of routine.

Food wise we are still okay.  I did make a Costco run this morning to get 4 of the gallon jugs of milk (we drink a lot of milk) and some more fresh fruit.  I do have lots of frozen and canned fruit but still prefer fresh.

For breakfast we had fruit bowls with yogurt, English Muffins with poached eggs and a glass of milk to start the day.

After our walk with doggie this afternoon we baked Peanut Butter Cookies.  SOOOO yummy.  Have to watch portions on these or I will not be able to wear pants soon.

After dinner I spent a bit of time in my craft room and worked on the next step of the Laundry Basket Mystery Quilt Along:

Hope this inspires your own creativity.  Wishing you all the BEST Day EVER Tuesday tomorrow.  Stay Safe, get outside for some fresh air and exercise if you can and as Always.....WASH your hands🙏.  Stay Safe.
