Toyota Knitting...

Good Evening Internet Friends!

Today was my weekly day off so it was errand day of course.  One of those errands was to get the oil changed in my Toyota Highlander and that of course meant a trip to Sherwood Park Toyota because the difference in price between the cheapy oil places and there is $4.00.  Seriously.

While the oil was changed and the car was given it's yearly servicing check up I knit!  I was able to finish the second part of my Starting Point Wrap:

Now to join the sides together and maybe I will have this done by the date this five week Knit A Long started last year.

Hope this inspires your own creativity...

Kathy's Day Off...

Good Evening Internet Friends!

Today was my day off during the work week.

I had BIG plans for the day, but it turned out to be just a really nice day.  I will have to do the BIG things on the weekend.

After dropping my son off for school I stopped by a friend's house for tea and scones.  YUM.

Home then to wait for the alarm company in the 4 hour window they had given me.  It was not a hurry up and wait as the tech was here 20 minutes into the time window.  I really do love my house alarm company.  They have really good customer service.

Afterwards I had a nap because the dog and the cat were both napping in the sunbeam and I did not want to disturb their siesta.  🐈🐕

Once I had my nap I decided to go pick up my 2 new skiens of self striping Biscotte Yarn in colours that were specially dyed for River City Yarns.  On the way home I decided to make a minor detour and stop by the new location of Earthly Goods.  Had a lovely chat with the owner and picked up (of course) a couple of fabrics I HAD to have:

Here are my treasures for today.  The fabric has music notes in it!!!!  The yarn has fuchsia in it!!!!

I think I shall make another of the Professional Tote bags with these fabrics.

Now I should go work on some of my current projects, but these are "sew" pretty to admire.  Thankfully the weekend is coming...

Hope this inspires your own creativity...

Quilting Along....

Good Afternoon Internet Friends!

Today is my turn around day as I am back to work Days tomorrow.  Usually I have two days to turn myself around but for some reason I decided to pick up a shift tomorrow way back when to let a colleague go on vacation.  Noble of me maybe, but now I don't think it was such a good idea.

"Sew" far today I have accomplished a whole lot of nothing other than I did manage to get another Row By Row completed:

TAH DAH!!!

This row is from Piece By Peace Quilting in Fort St. John.

I have now almost completed 4 blocks for this project, only the embroidery on one block:

The blocks are:
Quilter's Dream in Edmonton (vertical left row)

Ben Franklin Crafts in Havre (top row)

The Quilt Patch in Moose Jaw (middle row)

I think my summer adventure scrapbook quilt is coming along amazing and I cannot wait to see what the blocks all look like when I assemble them!

Hope this inspires your own creativity...
