Here We Go Again...

Good Evening Internet Friends!!!

Another work week is about to start and so here we go again....  There just does not seem to be enough time in the weekend to get everything done that I would like to.

Breakfast this morning was fresh fruit, whipped cream and maple syrup waffles:
YUMMMM!!!  As a bonus I made a double batch so that we would have waffles for breakfast this week as well.

For the lunch box I made fresh tomato soup with some home grown tomatoes that I was given:

I was also given a garden pumpkin that I cooked and mashed.  Most of the mashed pumpkin went to the freezer but I did make two loaves of banana, pumpkin, walnut bread.  This will also be in the lunch box tomorrow ☺

For dinner I made a chicken breast sheet pan dinner.  Garden potatoes, onions, zucchini and cauliflower that I was given along with red, green, yellow and orange peppers, and mushrooms.  I drizzled a fresh dill and mustard sauce over all and baked.  Dinner for this evening and a couple days of left overs as well.
Super YUM!!!

Hope this inspires your own creativity and wishing you all the
BEST Day EVER Monday tomorrow.  🥳

And Then...

Good Evening Internet Friends!

We spent the day at home but that does not mean that I took it easy.  House cleaning, some sorting, laundry is all done and I spent a fair bit of time in my kitchen:

I made granola bars for the lunch boxes this upcoming week.

I also made 2 dozen poppy seed buns.  These are one of my favourite foods.

For dinner we had crispy chicken, maple syrup sweet potato mash and steamed broccoli.  Delicious and there are left overs for tomorrow ☺

After doggie walk I spent a bit of time in my craft room and made Block 29 of the Red and White 2018 52 Week Block Challenge hosted by A Needle Pulling Thread Quilt Shop.

Still using up scraps for these blocks, and since I finished the nursing tote bag yesterday there are MORE red and white scraps ☺

Hope this inspires your own creativity and wishing you all the
BEST Day EVER Sunday.

Here a chick, there a chick..., Summer Vacation Day 25

Back to work today, and quite tired after the weekend events.  Home late (imagine) from the festivities of K-days.
After dinner, and a quick trip to the park, spent a little time in the craft room.
Decided I would work on one of the projects I picked up at Prickly Pear Quilts.
The kit appeared like it should be a quick project for a night like tonight, but either I am really sleepy or something, because the instructions for assembly made little to NO sense.
Oh, well, I put it together in my own way, and all seams are folded under, top stitched, and that is that!
TAH DAH!
A quick and easy (once I decided how I would do it) addition to my kitchen!
Hope this inspires your own creativity...
