March Calendar Page

This is my version of the Close to My Heart December Stamp of the Month for the monthly calendar I am currently making.

The base is Sahara Sand, and Whisper White Card Stock from Stampin UP, along with the Gumball Green Ribbon, Early Espresso Bakers Twine, and the brad is from Sale-a-bration 2012.

The Designer Series Paper is from the Dotty for You Collection from www.closetomyheart.com.

March Quilt Calendar

Since today is the last day of March, I decided I had better post my Monthly Mini's Patchabilities calendar for this month.  

I did get it done in time for St. Patrick's Day, however, there was a delay as the fabric paint was not with the kit.  

The great thing about it being the end of the month is that I can go in to Sew Divine later today and pick up my April version of this!

Happy St. Patrick's Day

I ran out of car candy last week and so my son and I went to Bulk Barn.  While there replenishing my supply of assorted candy we found Shamrock Sprinkles.  OMG we had to get these.

My son and I baked cupcakes (from a mix - did not have time to make a from scratch cake) for his class, I iced them quickly and he put on the Shamrock Sprinkles!

St. Patrick's Day

I made this card for my son.  Now, before you think "what a nice mom", the reason I made it was to use up some of the random green jelly beans we have left in the house!!!

I LOVE candy (ironic), but am VERY allergic to anything with lime in it, so when we get candy I "share" all the green candies with my husband and son (heeheehee).

 This card is made with Old Olive, and Whisper White card stock. The Whisper White is embossed in the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  The leaves for the shamrock are cut from the heart punch using Old Olive Designer Series Paper, and the Heart shaped Sweet Treat cups are left overs from a couple of years ago (OMG old product again!!).  

The greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.

Got Green?

Today I thought I should do something green as St. Patrick's Day is getting close.  

The card base is Garden Green with Pear Pizazz run through the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder.  The flower stems are from the Field Flowers stamp set and the flowers were purchased at Michael' s for the bargain price of $3.99 for a box of (? a million) from the wedding section as they were clearing out stock.  The flowers are a plain white, but Copic Markers work wonders on them to make them any color I want.  SOOOOO much fun!

The brads for the flower centers are from the Everyday Enchantment brad pack (free from Sale-a-bration).

The Got Green? greeting is from the Got Treats? stamp set.
