An Almost Finish....

Good Evening Internet Friends.

Lots of last minute errands and start to think about back to work and school next week.

One of the errands I did was get my Raise the Roof Quilt top along with sewn backing to the long arm quilter.  In four weeks this will be all done.  Oh wait....then I have to still put the binding on.....

For today I am just happy to think of it as completed and that it has moved to the next stage of the quilting process.

Hope this inspires your own creativity...

Crafting Attention Deficit.....

Good Evening Internet Friends!

"Sew" as you likely know by now I really do struggle with getting anything completed on time because I start something else.

This week I have been trying to catch up on my Flock of Geese Blocks, but.......the new 52 Week Block Challenge from A Needle Pulling Thread started:

This one will all be in reds and whites, however, you know how much I LOVE navy and I have a lot of those scraps too......."Sew".....you just never know what I might do.  Heck, even I don't most of the time.

Hope this inspires your own creativity...

Distracted Catch Up

Good Evening Internet Friends!

Out and about again with my son today.  The weather was warm again so it made for a wonderful time outside.

This evening I planned on making more of the Flock of Geese Blocks, but since I had the perfect scraps for a Star Block I made a Star Block for the quilt I should have finished a year ago:

Not sure which block this will be in the sequence but let me assure you that I am still well below 52 Blocks for this quilt as well.

Hope this inspires your own creativity...

More Catch Up!

Good Evening Internet Friends!

The weather is warmer and as such my son and I spent some time outdoors today.

After hot chocolate this afternoon I spent a wee bit of time in my craft room.  I sorted through some more of the scraps and cut a few of the sizes I need for some of my scrap blocks.

Then I made 4 (yes four) Flock of Geese Blocks.  At this rate I might be finished last years quilt by March:

TAH DAH!!!!

"Sew" Exciting.

Hope this inspires your own creativity...

Catching Up for the New Year

Good Evening Internet Friends!

"Sew" today I decided that I should catch up on some of my old projects before I get too far into my new ones.

This evening I made another of the Flock of Geese Blocks:

Not sure what number of the sequence this block is but it is NOT block 52.

Hope this inspires your own creatvity...

A Sort of Finish???

Happy New Year's Eve Internet Friends!

Still remains ridiculously cold here in Alberta.  My son and I did not even venture out to the Fireworks as the county recommended people remain at home.  😰😰😰🎆🎆🎆

To make is kind of an "event" we ordered Pizza.  Yes, that is a rare one for us but we did and we got delivery because I did not want to go out in the cold:

I have way TOOOO many projects on the go and all are partially completed.

This evening I did finish the first section of my Starting Point Wrap. This was a Knit ALong that I started last spring.  It was a 5 week KAL and as you can see as of this evening I have completed the first section so I am officially 40% complete.  I have no grandiose visions of having this finished in time for the one year time line but.........

Wishing everyone a Happy, and Safe New Year's Eve.

Oh S"crap".....

Good Evening Internet Friends.

Extra cold here again today.  I think the warmest temperature was about -28 C (-18 F).  My son had a piano recital that he had to attend today so I had to bundle up and start the car a half hour early to get the windows clear enough to drive!

We stopped at the mall on the way home for about 15 minutes and the car was already freezing by the time we got back in.  I DO NOT like the cold.

After dinner I spent a bit of time in my craft room sorting through all the remnant scrap pieces of fabric and made 2 of the 4 Patch Star Blocks:

I also cut some of the bigger pieces for future use so that the hunt for fabric is not such a mess next time.

Hope this inspires your own creativity...
