Birthday Cards!

Good Evening Internet Friends!

Every month I promise myself that I WILL make the birthday cards for the Quilt Guild Members well in advance of the monthly meeting.

Well........you guessed it!  I am making them tonight:

Happy Birthday Everyone! 🎂

Chocolate!!!

Good Evening Internet Friends!

As you likely know I am a HUGE fan of Milk Chocolate!

Every month as part of the Membership Committee of the Sherwood Park Quilt Guild in addition to Birthday Cards I always try to have some home made tasty treat.  This month since Valentine's Day is almost upon us I made Chocolate Hearts.  I used my stash of Lindt Couverture Chocolate and made 98 chocolates:

TAH DAH!!!!

Yes there are more than I require right now but I still need another 120 for my son for school next week💗

Then in typical Kathy fashion I needed some way to gift these to everyone so I wrapped them.  I was very fortunate that another lady from Quilt Guild came over for a soup lunch and help me package and wrap all 70 for Guild:

It was not a quick project but MUCH quicker with her help of which I am most grateful.  😼

Multitasking....

Good Evening Internet Friends!

Super proud of myself this evening as I actually got a couple of things accomplished ☺

First off I was craving Lemon Poppy Seed Cake all day so when I got home I made a Lemon Poppy Seed Cake:

Extra Yummy and of course just what my waist line needed.....

While the cake was baking I actually wove in the loose ends of my Boxy Dishcloth.  I finished this dishcloth a very long time ago but could not use it because the ends were not woven in and that just seemed to ominous to do.

TAH DAH!!!  In reality it took me longer to find the crochet hook than it did to actually weave in the ends.

Voila.....two creative endeavors accomplished this evening.

Gimme Back my Weekend....

Good Evening Internet Friends!

Alright!   Seriously!!!   I want my weekend back.  Today was that day where although it was bitterly cold still had to take the dog for his long walk, take my son to swimming lessons, make dinner, get lunch items baking etc done for the week and of course laundry and wash to floor too.

I did manage to make waffles for breakfast this morning and that was about the extent of my creativity...

At least they were delicious!

All Day......

Good Evening Internet Friends.

"Sew" I attended the Flowers for My Wedding Ring quilt class at Sew Divine today.

Here is what I accomplished after all day (6.5 hours) in class:

Here's hoping that this is just a learning curve and the other 45 blocks go together perhaps a little quicker otherwise I might be finishing this quilt in the new millennium.....

Hope this inspires your own creativity...

Ready.....Set....Sew!!!

Good Evening Internet Friends!

In typical Kathy tradition I finished my sewing home work just hours before class tomorrow morning.

Here are my 49 A and B arc sets for my Flowers for my Wedding Ring quilt.  I am taking this class at Sew Divine.  I have always wanted to make one of these quilts and on top of that the class is offered on Saturdays and is close to my home.  Perfect!!

Here the arcs are in all their glory before they become ring blocks.

"Sew" pleased with myself to actually be doing this.

Hope this inspires your own creativity...

It's Back....

Good Evening Internet Friends!

"Sew" very excited as this evening after dinner I picked up one of my quilts that I sent out to be long armed.  This quilt has had quite the adventure.  It waited for almost two years to be quilted.  I actually thought it had been taken from me as I had lost track of where it was.  In January when I got it back I aired it out and then took it to a local long arm quilter who had done quilts for me previously.  She called me yesterday that it was ready:

Tomorrow I shall pick up some binding for it.  The entire quilt top is made of scraps and for that I am super proud of myself.
