Fakin' It...

Good Afternoon Internet Friends!

Posting a little earlier than usual as tonight is Quilt Guild Meeting.  Not sure yet if I am going or not as stupid tired for lack of a better word.

Just in case I do go I decided I should do SOMETHING today as so far I have done a whole lot of NOTHING!

I decided to get started on my Twist Star Quilt.  I had signed up for this class but the instructor moved the class to a date I probably will not be able to attend.  All I have for instructions is the picture and the 2 pages of cutting instructions.  If I want the pattern I will have to buy it despite having paid for the class.

I started with the 12 easy blocks.  Here are 4:

Hopefully this does not become another UFO....

Hope this inspires your own creativity and wishing you all the
BEST DAY EVER Tuesday for tomorrow๐ŸŽ‰

Five Geese

Good Evening Internet Friends!

Posting a little late and so it is almost Good Morning๐ŸŒ….

I was able to attend my Quilt Guild Meeting this evening.  First time since the September meeting due to extra curricular activities that my son participates in.  Nice to catch up with some people.

When I got home I did all the "mom" things I had not done earlier in the evening.   While I waited for a load of laundry to hurry up and wash so I could put it in the dryer and head to bed I decided to make another of the Flock of Geese from my pre cut bag of scraps:

TAH DAH!!!  Now I have 5 of the 52 Flock of Geese Blocks for the A Needle Pulling Thread Quilt Shop 52 Week Block Challenge 2017 (not a typo.....I am just that slooooooooow).

Hope this inspires your own creativity and wishing you all the
BEST Day EVER Friday.

Guild Treats!

Good Evening Internet Friends!

Crazy, super busy with all of my commitments and adult responsibilities right now but it was Quilt Guild Meeting tonight.  That meant I had to go since I volunteered to be on the Membership Committee and have been occupied at other events and not in attendance for the two meetings now.  It also meant that since I have set the precedent of always having some kind of hand/home made treat I needed an idea.

Here is what I came up with since Mother's Day is just around the corner:

Thankfully another Quilt Guild member recognized the amount of things I have to do right now and over the next few weeks and volunteered to help with stamping, punching and assembly of these.

Hope this inspires your own creativity...

Chocolate!!!

Good Evening Internet Friends!

As you likely know I am a HUGE fan of Milk Chocolate!

Every month as part of the Membership Committee of the Sherwood Park Quilt Guild in addition to Birthday Cards I always try to have some home made tasty treat.  This month since Valentine's Day is almost upon us I made Chocolate Hearts.  I used my stash of Lindt Couverture Chocolate and made 98 chocolates:

TAH DAH!!!!

Yes there are more than I require right now but I still need another 120 for my son for school next week๐Ÿ’—

Then in typical Kathy fashion I needed some way to gift these to everyone so I wrapped them.  I was very fortunate that another lady from Quilt Guild came over for a soup lunch and help me package and wrap all 70 for Guild:

It was not a quick project but MUCH quicker with her help of which I am most grateful.  ๐Ÿ˜ผ

All is Quiet on the Home Front???

Good Evening Internet Friends!

One might think that all is Quiet on the Home Front as I have not blogged all week.  That would so NOT be true!  In addition to work, extracurricular activities, physio appointments, and all the other things that I do I did a LOT of crafty things this week.

The first of these that I will show is the 135 Christmas Cards that I made for my own mailing this year as well as for the Quilt Guild I belong to and am on the Membership Committee:

Of the 135 cards I made 17 did not survive a "Lab Dog" and Kitten experiment....๐Ÿท๐Ÿ•๐Ÿˆ

For these cards I used my "stash" of supplies.  I was super proud of that, until I  realized I was running low on paper and out of envelopes.  Fortunately my friend who is big into a certain stamping group let me know there was a BIG sale promotion on earlier this week and I was able to save on GST and postage.  ๐Ÿ˜Ž  Fun mail will be here shortly.

As part of the Membership Committee for Quilt Guild I also decided to give everyone a fudge sample with their card.  I made three pans of fudge and cut into 1" pieces 125 squares of fudge.....YUMMY...

"Sew" that was part of my week.

Hope this inspires your own creativity...

What's Next ????

Good Very Late Evening Internet Friends.

Got up this morning and packed lunches, made breakfast, fed and watered all the pets and just enough time to jump in the shower.  Only to find out that while showering last night my son somehow dislodged a portion of the silicone tub sealant (it had been hanging on by a thread for about three years and "someone" was supposed to fix it).  Since "someone" is NOT here to repair this---I did.

I will add that I did a FABULOUS job and I think it might even look better than before - seriously.  ๐Ÿ˜‰

Finished up some laundry and got a few things prepped for tomorrow before deciding to get the Fat Quarter Exchange gifts ready for Quilt Guild later this week.

Here is my newest edition of Zippered Pouch I used the plastic fuse over the lining fabric so that it could also be used as a cosmetic pouch.

TAH DAH....one more to make before Thursday.

Hope this inspires your own creativity...
