Keepin' it Between the Rhubarb...

Good Evening Internet Friends!

Stopped by my amazing friend Lynn's on Saturday evening and was gifted a huge bag of fresh rhubarb!  This evening was the first time though that I have been able to get to it.

I asked my son what he wanted first and the response was "CAKE", so I made our favourite Rhubarb Cake:

Quite proud of myself with this one as well.  Dinner required oven time so I mixed up the cake and put in the oven alongside dinner.  While everything was cooking dog and I headed out for our evening walk.  Leaving home there was a very light mist to the air but by the time we made 7.06 mi home we were both DRENCHED!!☔🐕  

Warm cake fresh from the oven helped with that.

Good Evening Internet Friends!

I am BACK!!!  I have been absent from my crafting world for the past couple months as I prepared to write a national re-certification examination.

I am now finished that and can focus on ME again.

This evening after walking the dog and the kiddo (both need to get outside regularly) I headed down to my craft room.  Totally mesmerized by ALL the cool stuff in there I decided that I should probably complete something.

With a beautiful thunderstorm outside I set about making more of the flying geese units for my Flower's for My Wedding Ring Quilt.

Time Out....

Good Evening Internet Friends!

For the first time in almost a month I decided that tonight rather than be responsible on a Friday evening after working another double shift at the start of the May long weekend; I would take a few minutes to myself.  

This is a sock blank that I received in my monthly subscription to Sock Crush a few months ago.

As you can see my progress has been limited while I work on being responsible.  Ughhhh.

Guild Treats!

Good Evening Internet Friends!

Crazy, super busy with all of my commitments and adult responsibilities right now but it was Quilt Guild Meeting tonight.  That meant I had to go since I volunteered to be on the Membership Committee and have been occupied at other events and not in attendance for the two meetings now.  It also meant that since I have set the precedent of always having some kind of hand/home made treat I needed an idea.

Here is what I came up with since Mother's Day is just around the corner:

Thankfully another Quilt Guild member recognized the amount of things I have to do right now and over the next few weeks and volunteered to help with stamping, punching and assembly of these.
