S"crap"! It's Monday....

Good Evening Internet Friends!

I am sort of back in the land of the normal people's......Turn around day is always hard for me, and somehow today I have accomplished nothing more than sleeping and napping in various parts of the house ☺

After dinner I decided to play in my craft room thinking that would wake me up, however I am on my way to sleep soon...

I did manage to make Week Six of my Flying Geese Block (notice I am still on schedule):

This is the yearly quilt challenge block from A Needle Pulling Thread Quilt Shop.  Not only are these blocks always beautiful, I also love that I can make them using S"crap"s.  I have LOTS of those. ☺

Oh S"crap"! It's Monday...

This task I have given myself of using up all of my scrap pieces of card stock and Designer Series Paper is getting harder every week.

If it were fabric I would make a rag quilt or better yet a hopscotch quilt and large amounts of fabric would disappear quickly and into a usable format.

However with paper this is not the case.

I hate to be defeated by anything, yet I might have to take this into a local school or play group and see if the kids want it, as alas I am getting no where fast.

This is today's creation made very early this morning.

It is nothing like what I had originally intended, but it is what it is.

The card stock base is Calypso Corral, with a piece of Designer Series Paper from the Spring 2012 Mini Catalogue.  I cross stitched the border with Bakers twine, and colored the You are Loved design with my Stampin' Write markers.

Oh S"Crap"! It's Monday...

 Happy Labour Day everyone.  

This is what I came up with while playing in my scrap box today, in an attempt to tidy up the craft room a bit.

Both cards use Real Red for the card base, and whisper white for the gingerbread men.  The card on the right was embossed with the Snow Burst Embossing Folder.

The card on the left the gingerbread people are stamped directly on, the card on the right I cut them out after stamping using the new Framelits Dies that Stampin Up has come up with (shhhhhh they're like Spellbinders, except that they come with matching stamp sets).  

I used my Stampin' Write Markers to "ice" the gingerbread and Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details for the buttons.  

Two left over pieces of ribbon finished if off.

Oh S"crap"! It's Monday...

Alright, so it's a little different of a s"crap" project today.

When I got home from Saskatchewan last night I realized that I had forgotten to put the extra peaches in the refrigerator when we left.  They were VERY ripe.

So, I made my favorite Peach Streusel Coffee Cake with s"crap" peaches.

It is delicious!

Oh S"Crap"! It's Monday...

So, shhhh, I'm going to let you in on a little secret, my stash box of paper is not getting any smaller despite my weekly forays into it for this project!!!!

This week, I found a half a piece of some pink card stock (color - I don't know), the main image is stamped on Whisper White.

I used the En Francais background stamp in Chocolate Chip color stamped off once, so it would be light in color.

The image is from my new stamp set called Established Elegance and both of these images are stamped in Early Espresso ink.

The flowers are from the Triple Flower Punch and the ribbon, is again a left over...

Oh S"crap"! It's Monday...Countdown to Christmas

Only six more months to Christmas!!

I LOVE Christmas, and since the days have started to get shorter, Christmas is on it's way.

Today I started with a piece of Cherry Cobbler card stock, then Garden Green which I embossed with the Snow Burst folder.  The "tree" image is from the Celebrations stamp set.

After stamping the image I covered it with clear embossing powder and then heat set it to give it shine, and of course a rhinestone to make the star pretty.

A band of Cherry Cobbler Dots ribbon finishes it off.

Oh S"crap"! It's Monday

Recently, Wadean from Scrapbook Memories & More stumbled across this stamp called Pieces of Quiet, and I agreed that I had to have it because it reminded both of us of my son.

So, while I thought about what to use my scraps on today, this seemed to be the perfect stamp.

To be honest, I am not sure of the card stock colors of names of this card as they truly are scraps, the only one that I can identify for certain is the blue strip is from the Letters to Santa Designer Series Paper.

The image was stamped and then colored with my Copic Markers, of which I am now starting to get coordinating colors to the ones I had.  

When my son saw this card he said "that looks like me"!

Oh S"Crap"! It's Monday

At some point in time I am certain that the paper crafting authorities are going to come after me with my sins against paper crafting.  This project is a perfect example of  this.

The card base is left over Wisteria Wonder, another piece of some purplish Designer Series Paper and yet another small piece of Cheerful Delight Designer Series Paper, along with a piece of Whisper White.  The only modification to any paper here was the scallop edge punch to the purple Designer Series Paper, otherwise everything was kept the size it was.

The stamped image is from the June stamp set of the month from Close to My Heart, and I colored the bird image with my Stampin' Write Markers.  Probably should have used my Copics, but was too lazy to get up and get them (sore from the 5 km walk yesterday that turned out to be 7 km as we had to park more than 1 km away from the start/finish line and get back to the car).

I shall try and play more with this stamp set as it comes with Cricut instructions as well (big smile).

Oh S"Crap"! It's Monday

I had a lot of fun making this card!

I used Soft Suede card stock for the base, left overs from the Dotty for You paper from Close to My Heart, my Celebrations stamp set and Cricut Art Philosophy Cartridge (all from Close to My Heart).

The banner and cupcake were cut out with the Cricut, and then colored with my Stampin' Write markers, and of course I had to use my orange liquid embossing to make the frosting look yummy.

I LOVE this card, cupcakes always make me happy!

Oh S"Crap"! It's Monday

That time of week again, to see what I can make with what I have left over.

This week I used a piece of Early Espresso card stock, run through a cupcake embossing folder that I have had for so long that the print of who made it has worn off (sorry - really do not know where I even got it).

The image is the Create a Cupcake stamp set colored with Stampin' Write markers and leftover red rhinestone for the cherry.

Happy Victoria Day everyone!

Today's version of Oh S"Crap"! It's Monday is made from a left over piece of Garden Green card stock, a mystery green color, and Old Olive Designer Series Paper.

The kitty image (note he's a black and white(ish) kitty) is from the free pack of Margaret Sherry cut outs that I got in the February edition of Cardmaking & Papercraft.  Of course I colored it with my Copic markers.  The flower in the left corner is a Vintage Flower from the Stampin Up Spring 2011 Mini (OMG she found more old product!!!!).

Oh S"Crap"! It's Monday

I am seriously running low on good paper of which to do anything with in the scrap box.  Might mean I have to make some more cards...

For today's project I have a random piece of green card stock (? Certainly Celery color maybe) that I was able to get a 3 x 3 size out of, the random piece of very vanilla and a sticker package left over from Easter with 4 stickers still on it (still have one sticker from it to use).

The bunny was stamped and colored with my AWESOME Copic markers, and the stickers put on, and some grass colored with Copic Markers.

TAH DAH!!!  Kind of reminds me of Peter Rabbit or Benjamin Bunny.

Oh S"crap"! It's Monday

Oh S"crap"! It's Monday...

Today's post I actually had fun making.  Yes, I still used the scrap bin, but somehow I did not have to dig to find stuff that might actually coordinate and not look too ridiculous.

The base of this card is Lucky Limeade, with Old Olive Designer Series Paper, topped off with Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper from Sale-a-bration as is the greeting.  The flower is made from my new Spellbinders Flower Die, and is made using the reverse side of the Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper that is seen in the two strips.  A very big glue dot to hold the flower in place, and since I could not find my sticky pearls, a small Very Vanilla circle!

Oh S"crap"! It's Monday

This adventure gets harder every week.  I cannot believe I have challenged myself to this.  I now know why so many Stampin Up demonstrators out there "give" away their leftovers to charity!  However, I still think that if I don't want it the less fortunate probably don't either....

For this I found a piece of Early Espresso on which in Early Espresso Ink I used the En Francais stamp.  Then a small piece of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series paper, a random brad, and some left over Baja Breeze seam binding from some great feit of genius my son was to embark on with his rocket.

Done for this week, might have to start looking at my selection earlier in the week...

Oh S"crap"! It's Monday...

I found a handful of those chocolate wrapped eggs on the cupboard today and asked my son if he wanted them.  His response, "nah, not really".  Now, what to do with these, as I certainly don't need them?

Ah Ha.  Creative packaging.

My Easter 2010 Cricut cartridge has this pillow box die cut in it, so I used a piece of left over Certainly Celery and a small piece of window sheet and filled it with the left over chocolate (truly all scraps)!

Once presented to my son in this fashion, it was much more of a hit, and I think by tomorrow the last of the Easter candy will be gone.

Oh S"crap"! It's Monday

Today's version of  Oh S"crap"! It's Monday uses Poppy Parade card stock, Early Espresso card stock, and a small piece of Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper from Sale-a-bration, and the ribbon is also from Sale-a-bration.

The stamped image is from the the You are Loved stamp set (Holiday 2011 Mini), and is stamped in Poppy Parade.

The Early Espresso card stock was run through the Perfect Pennants die to get the scallop circle and the DSP was punched with my scallop punch.

Oh S"crap"! It's Monday

Oh S"crap"! It's Monday AGAIN.... (does anyone like this day...)

For today's version of this mission to deplete the scrap box I used a piece of Whisper White card stock, a green piece of Designer Series Paper (old olive I think), another small piece of white which I dry embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots embossing Folder, and then stitched around it with some green thread that happened to be staring at me from my sewing machine.

The flowers are all random pieces of paper from the scrap box put through the Cuttlebug (with my new extended cutting pads..YAY - almost thought might have to get a Big Shot), using the Fun Flowers Die.

The flowers still looked boring, so I tried to make them better with a couple of buttons (random collections) and some of the new Lucky Limeade Bakers twine.

Oh S"crap"! It's Monday

Today's version of Oh S"crap"! It's Monday is all  weird shaped pieces of paper that are left overs from other projects.  With some careful cutting though they are on here and might almost pass for my trying to make them look this way.

The base is a left over Sahara Sand piece along with a remnant of Old Olive and Everyday Enchantment Designer Series Paper.  The flowers are punched with 2 very small pieces of Poppy Parade with the Triple Flower punch.

The label is made with the label punch and stamped with my new Charming stamp set.  The brads are from the Sale-a-bration promotion right now as is the ribbon.

Oh S"crap"! It's Monday

I'm beginning to dread this day of the week.  Trying to create something out of that box of scraps that seems to keep growing is somewhat of a chore!!

For today's project I used Sahara Sand, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla card stock along with a piece of First Edition Designer Series Paper.  

The Early Espresso was embossed with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.  

The stamped images are from The Open Sea stamp set in the Summer (spring?) Mini last year.  

When I was finished this card my son decided it looked like a treasure map and so he put a small "x" to mark where the treasure is!

Oh S"crap"! It's Monday

Although I have a full box of scrap paper the concept of Oh S"crap"! It's Monday is starting to get more and more difficult.

This is what I came up with for today.

I had enough Whisper White card stock (in a weird shape) to make the card base and some left over for the banner that I cut using my Nestabilities dies - Whisper White and Poppy parade.  The flower is from the Triple Treat Flower stamp set (got it free with Sale-a-Bration) and stamped in Pool Party with a brad from the Everyday Enchantment Brad Pack (again - got it with Sale-a-bration).
