Monday...

 Good Evening Internet Friends!

Well, it's Monday and that's about all there is to say about that!  Always a hard day after time change.

Back to work of course today.

This evening after dinner I did a bit of knitting and got through the first pattern repeat of the Fogo Island Mittens from the Saltwater Knits books from River City Yarns

TAH DAH!!!

Fingers crossed that the weather holds a few more days and I can finish the left mitten before the snow flies.

Hope this inspires your own creativity and wishing you all the BEST Day EVER Tuesday tomorrow.  Stay safe out there.  ๐Ÿ˜ท

Labour Day...

Good Evening Internet Friends!

I hope that y'all had a restful Labour Day and are ready for whatever tomorrow brings.  I really tried hard not to do any kind of labour today at all!

I took doggie out for a really looooooooong walk this morning.  Quite chill out there and no doubt that Winter is on its way๐Ÿ˜ฐ❄

I took several pictures of the Autumn Blaze Maple in my front yard.  It is SOOOOOO beautiful right now.  I was supposed to get a different type of red maple, but the supplier was all out so I got this type (this is the one I really wanted).  ๐Ÿ

Late this afternoon I baked a Rhubarb Cake with the Rhubarb I got at the St Albert Farmers' Market on Saturday.  I froze 8 bags with 2 cups in each bag and kept the last 2 cups for use in cake today:

For dinner I made kiddo Spinach/Mushroom/Green Onion/Zucchini/Red Pepper/Boursin stuffed chicken.  Served with baby potatoes and fresh green beans it was a HIT with him.

This evening I spent a bit of time with my knitting and even watched a little tele (not something I do regularly).

Hope this inspires your own creativity and wishing you all the BEST Day EVER Tuesday tomorrow.  Stay Safe out there.  ๐Ÿ˜ท

Knitting

Good Evening Internet Friends.

Quiet Monday here at home.  I am staying home due to my asthma acting up now that it is pretending to be Spring outside.

Not having a lot of energy I decided that I would cast on a new pair of socks to work on from my sofa watching tele!  I COULD do this.  Easy win there for mental health - do something that is achieveable.

I cast on Baker Lake Socks using Ancient Arts yarn "80 Days Around the World" colour way.  This was a special edition dye lot from their Sock Yarn Box subscription a couple of years ago:

Hope this inspires your own creativity.  Wishing you all the BEST Day EVER Tuesday tomorrow.  Stay safe out there and please WASH your hands๐Ÿ™.

Are You Kidding Me????

Good Evening Internet Friends!

Most years I complain, gripe and whine in general about time change because deep down I believe that nothing good can come from this event.  Yesterday, I took it my stride and was positive and even productive.

Fast forward to today.... as I prepare to leave my house I find out that the door knob will not turn!!!!  I am truly stuck in my house no matter how hard I try to turn the knob.  I use the back door to go around to the front door and try from the outside!  It is seriously stuck.  My son on the inside and I on the outside try turning the door knob....NOTHING..

Now, I am running late for work and I begin the frantic search through the mystery box of random keys in the house to find a key for the back door....eventually I found one that sort of fits but you really have to wiggle to get the door to open.  Better than nothing so off to work!

After picking my son up from school we came home and thankfully gained entry through the back door.

I decided to unscrew the door knob and found that the slider piece was totally jammed inside which meant I had to use every tool including the butter knife to get it out.

Off to the hardware store to get some parts and we now have an operational front door and at least know where the key to the back door is!!!

That left very little crafting time.  I managed to make one more of my Anne of Green Gables blocks:

TAH DAH!!!

Now it's off to bed as tomorrow is another work day ☺

Hope this inspires your own creativity...

Flock of Geese Week 10!

Good Late Evening Internet Friends!

Today is my turn around day to get used to being back in the day light world.

To be honest I either wasted or slept today away.

This evening while son and hubby were at Boy Scouts I managed to make:

Somehow, not sure how, but I am still on track for this year!!!   Fingers crossed I can finish somewhat close to on time this year!!!

Hope this inspires your own creativity...

Block 7

Good Evening Internet Friends!

Got to spend a bit of time at home this evening while hubby and kid went out to Boy Scouts.

I decided that I would try to finish Block 7 of my Prairie Rose Block of the Month:

I now have 5 of the nine blocks for this quilt done!  Hoping I can stay somewhat motivated and on task to get this one done soon as it is very pretty once assembled ☺

Hope this inspires your own creativity...

S"crap"! It's Monday....

Good Evening Internet Friends!

I am sort of back in the land of the normal people's......Turn around day is always hard for me, and somehow today I have accomplished nothing more than sleeping and napping in various parts of the house ☺

After dinner I decided to play in my craft room thinking that would wake me up, however I am on my way to sleep soon...

I did manage to make Week Six of my Flying Geese Block (notice I am still on schedule):

This is the yearly quilt challenge block from A Needle Pulling Thread Quilt Shop.  Not only are these blocks always beautiful, I also love that I can make them using S"crap"s.  I have LOTS of those. ☺

Hope this inspires your own creativity...

I'm Sew Far Behind.....

Good Evening Internet Friends!

Today was of course back to work and back to after school curricular mom duties!

After getting kiddo to bed I went down to my neglected craft room.  I decided that with the time available tonight I would make another Star Challenge Block from my scrap pile:

TAH DAH!!

This is my Block 11 of the Star Block Challenge that I am participating in from A Needle Pulling Thread Quilt Shop.

This week everyone should be working on Block 46 ๐Ÿ‘€...........oooops, I am a wee bit behind......maybe I can catch up (once I catch my breath from laughing at that statement).

Hope this inspires your own creativity...

Hello Monday....

Good Evening Internet Friends!

Today is my turn around day from having worked this weekend.  I LOVE my job but I really hate shift work.  I only gave in to a  one hour nap this morning so that I would go to sleep early this evening.  As you can tell by the time......that has NOT happened.  Instead, I am in a rather hyper state of some sort right now.

Do I have tons of accomplishments to show you for today????  Nope.....I got kiddo to school on time, had a nap, I think I ate lunch (not sure on that one), picked up some groceries.....will assess tomorrow what all treasures I picked up, made dinner and got kiddo to his extra curricular activities.

I did go to my craft room after getting kiddo to bed and made another block for my Scandi 3 Quilt.  Meet Block 9:

Now to carry on with some of the random half finished knitting projects I have laying around ☺

Hope this inspires your own creativity...

Center Block 3

Good Late Evening Internet Friends!

Today was back to work for one day, then tomorrow off before I finish 3 in a row straight this week.

Managed to get a few minutes in the craft room this evening before I decided that I would just snuggle up on the couch with my knitting.  I manufactured Block 3 of the 4 center blocks for my Churn Dash Challenge:

Hoping that I can get at it tomorrow and get the last center block done and start assembling the entire quilt!

Hope this inspires your own creativity...

Block 46!

Good Evening Internet Friends!

"Sew" it was my once every four weeks day off on a Monday.  Had great intentions for today, but I lost them somewhere....  really accomplished not a lot of nothing.  Seriously.

Kiddo and hubby were at another Boy Scouts thingy tonight "sew" I spent a bit of time in my craft room and made one more block for the Churn Dash Challenge:

Then I decided to curl up on the couch in my jammies with a quilt and a book.  Guess who fell asleep?

Have big plans for tomorrow, but will see how that goes....

Hope this inspires your own creativity...

I've lost Monday.....

Good Evening Internet Friends!

Seriously, I LOST Monday.  No idea where it went.

Got home from night shift took a quick nap, and woke up later than I should have.  Made a quick breakfast and lunch for kiddo and out the door to catch the bus.  Got to the bus stop just in time, and waited, and waited and waited.  Finally phoned the bus company and found out the bus was running +25 minutes late.  Hop in the car and off to school.

Fought traffic to school and back and home by 1000 hours.  Lots of time to get things done today.  Well, so far I have still not had a nap, have only got one load of laundry washed and folded and not really anything else.

I did make muffins for lunches this evening:

Also worked on a few rows of my August 2015 Yarn Crush shawl.  This is not a pattern to be done when one is sleep deprived but here is my progress so far.....about 600+ more rows of this and I should be done:
TAH DAH!

Now off to sleep as back to work day shift tomorrow and I already know that I get to pull a double shift on Friday for sure and maybe Thursday } : /

Hope this inspires your own creativity...
