Block 7

Good Evening Internet Friends!

Got to spend a bit of time at home this evening while hubby and kid went out to Boy Scouts.

I decided that I would try to finish Block 7 of my Prairie Rose Block of the Month:

I now have 5 of the nine blocks for this quilt done!  Hoping I can stay somewhat motivated and on task to get this one done soon as it is very pretty once assembled ☺

Hope this inspires your own creativity...

Family Day

Good Evening Internet Friends!

I trust that everyone had a wonderful and relaxing family day.

At our house we sure did.  Slept late after watching movies until early this morning.  After breakfast I started on making bread:

While the bread was rising I worked on my Prairie Rose Block of the Month from Prairie Points Quilt Shop.  I was inspired to get back at this twice yesterday; first time was when Lynn posted about putting hers on the quilt frame, second was when a random lady posted hers as being complete!!!  Today I did the center portion of Block 7:

"Sew" far I have completed Blocks 1, 2, 3, and 4.  Really if I just did it I could get it finished.....

After baking the bread my son, the puppy and I headed out for a walk:

I love the classic homes in our neighbourhood.  I really do love these old neighbourhoods.

Just before our walk my son asked if we could have pizza for dinner.  Sure!!!  Whole wheat pizza crust was set to rise while we were out on our walk:

My son did the toppings and as such there is a plethora of mushrooms and most of the block of fresh mozzarella is on there!  Yummy.......

Hope this inspires your own creativity...

It's the Weekend!!!

Good Evening Internet Friends!

Today was a busy day despite being the weekend and supposedly time for rest and relaxation.

My son and I stopped at B & A Bakery to get cream horns (they were out), but they did have cheese buns that we had for lunch en route to get hair cuts.

After getting hair cuts we went to Costco for groceries.

A quick stop at home for dinner and then off to see Home.  It was a really neat movie.  Since then I have been referred to as "the my mom" (from the movie).

After my son went to sleep I finished the center part of my April 2014 Prairie Rose quilt that I participated in from Prairie Points Quilt Shop:
Maybe tomorrow I can get the borders added to this and then I will have four of the nine blocks completed!

Hope this inspires your own creativity...
