Easter Sunday...

Good Evening Internet Friends.

I hope that y'all had a blessed Easter Sunday at home on Self Isolation.

Today was a quiet day around our house.  We had toasted Babka with homemade Strawberry Jam from the pantry, poached eggs, milk and fresh fruit for breakfast.

Took doggie out for a walk and while out I slipped hard on the ice.  Whacked my elbow that I had fallen on ice 2 weeks ago with again!!!  The swelling and bruising was just starting to go down.  When I fell today I got ice rash (?) and bled from my elbow all the way home!  Bandaged up the area and took a pain medication so then needed a nap.  Had planned to roast a chicken for dinner but arm hurt too much so we had left overs.

I did check on my lily planters this afternoon in the garage:

They're sprouting!!!  Spring might be on the way!!!๐ŸŒท

Sewed on the very last row of my 2018 Red and White 52 Week Block Challenge after dinner.  This is now ready to go for long arming:

TAH DAH!!!

Hope this inspired your own creativity and wishing you all the BEST Day EVER Monday tomorrow.  Stay safe out there....

I'm Seeing Red.....and White...

Good Evening Internet Friends!

Did some more blocks today on my 2018 Red and White 52 Week Block Quilt hosted by A Needle Pulling Thread Quilt Shop:

I am going to make this quilt 60 blocks rather than the 52 as I want it to have overhang on my bed and not just cover the top!!

A few more blocks and I will be done.  Fingers crossed maybe I will have it done before I go back to work....๐Ÿ˜•

Hope this inspires your own creativity and wishing you all the
BEST Day EVER Thursday๐Ÿฅณ

Rest In Peace...

Good Evening Internet Friends!

I always get to tell people that I have the BEST job EVER.  I get to be there for people in their time of need whether that be acute or chronic.  I get to learn about what makes each of them who they are.  One of my patient's over the years I have learned and heard about his love of gardening and been the recipient of many boxes of tomatoes, zucchini, carrots, cucumbers, dill and apples from his garden.  Every year he starts a ridiculous number of seedlings from the seeds that he harvests in the fall.  A few weeks back he brought in for me tomato and pepper seedlings.  Today I found out that he passed away suddenly the day after he dropped these off for me:๐Ÿ˜ฟ

Guess I will be harvesting the seeds from these tomatoes and peppers this fall๐Ÿ…๐ŸŒถ.

Took a bit of time to myself after doggie walk this evening in the craft room and made another of the 52 Week Block Challenge Red and White blocks:

TAH DAH!!!!

Hope this inspires your own creativity and wishing you all the
BEST Day EVER Wednesday ๐Ÿฅณ.

Full Steam Ahead...

Good Evening Internet Friends!

Well.......This evening was Full Steam Ahead as I not only sewed on my latest red and white row; I also made another red and white block to start the next row!!!

I am LOVING this quilt.  I am thinking that I may end up making this larger than the 52 blocks as I think this quilt in a large enough size to cover my bed with some drape down the sides will look FANTASTIC!!!!

Hope this inspires your own creativity and wishing you the
BEST Friday EVER!!!๐ŸŽ‰

You Bought What????

Good Evening Internet Friends!

If you follow my blog (which of course who wouldn't), you will likely know that I have a philosophy that if you cannot buy something at Costco you should question if you really need the item!

While there last week I came across an entire bag of Eggplant!!!  Seriously.  Well.....I could NOT leave that behind.  So this evening when I got home from work I set about making Eggplant Parmesan for Dinner.  Yes, ALL the ingredients in this dish and for all of dinner are from Costco:

Eggplant Parmesan, Brioche Bun, Fresh Green Beans Steamed, and Pan Seared Steak with Butter Balsamic Vinaigrette Sauce!!!  So YUMMY!

Then it was off to a prayer Vigil for a long time family friend's Father in Law.

When we returned home I sewed all of the red and white blocks I currently have together and made another row!

Hope this inspires your own creativity and wishing you all the
BEST Thursday EVER ๐ŸŽ‰

ANOTHER ONE!!!

GOOD EVENING Internet Friends!

As you can tell by the time of this posting this has been a LOOOOOOONG week somehow and it is only Tuesday.

Thankfully there were left overs for dinner.

Despite the time of day I decided that I would still take a few minutes of ME Time aka Self Care and do a bit of quilting because it makes me happy.

Here is the latest Red and White Block for the 2018 52 Week Block Challenge!

Hope this inspires your own creativity and wishing you all the
BEST Wednesday EVER!!๐ŸŽ‰
