And Then.....

Good Evening Internet Friends!

So much going on this week but I took a bit of time to myself this evening and made another of the Twisted Star Blocks.  These are the blocks that I have been making with only the cutting instructions as the class I signed up for was moved to another date of which I cannot attend.  I do not get a refund as the class has not been cancelled, but I also was told that I would not get the pattern if I did not attend the class.  Pattern will release in June 2019 and I could purchase it in addition to the class and guild membership fees I paid to be in the class.  😠

"SEW" in typical Kathy fashion I decided to make it on my own.  The designer of the pattern eventually did feel sorry for me and did send me the instructions but I was already half done making the blocks:

TAH DAH!!!  I still do love this block and it will have a very special place to be in the next few months.

Hope this inspires your own creativity and
BEST Day EVER Friday.  🎉

Oh S"crap"....It's Monday...

Good Late Evening Internet Friends.

I have three scrap quilt projects on the go right now.  Seriously.

"Sew" this evening after kiddo went to bed I spent a few minutes in my craft room and made another Star Scrap Block for a Quilt that I started almost 2 years ago:

Not sure what number of the series this block is but quite proud that another has been made 😊😎

I really do enjoy making these 6 1/2" blocks.

Hope this inspires your own creativity...

It's Over......

Good Evening Internet Friends!

Well, the weekend is over and it's time to go back to work and school.

Today was mishmosh of all sorts of nothingness.

Last night I accompanied my son to the Oil King's Boy Scout Camp Out.  My son decided that he did not really want to sleep over this weekend and so I accompanied him to the game.  It was a great gave because the Prince Albert Raiders were playing.  This is the team that was only 90 miles away from me growing up so it was nice to be present to see them play and of course win last night!!!!

Today as therefore a sleep in, eat late, do laundry, finish putting the Christmas decorations away (although this year I sorted through the decorations and got rid of some), and some general tidying.

I spent a wee bit of time in my craft room and made Block 22 of my Scandi 3 Quilt:

Only three more to go and I can start assembling the quilt top!!!!

I also made Block 18 of my Star Block Challenge Quilt hosted by A Needle Pulling Thread Quilt Shop last year:

And yes.....once again this is another block built completely out of scraps ☺  I love these quilts.

Now it's off to get lunch stuff organized for tomorrow.

Hope this inspires your own creativity...

The Weekend Is Here!!!!

Good Evening Internet Friends!

The weekend is finally here for me!  YAY.  I do love my job and feel that I am fortunate to be one of those people who genuinely loves my job but along with doing all the other things I LOVE to do as well, it can make for a very chaotic life at times.  Hence, why I do not work full time ☺

After school there was piano lessons to go to.  Then because we were on the west end of the city close to Spruce Grove home of Woodland Quilting that just happens to be having a 20% off sale this weekend and happens to be the only place I have seen the Flower Patch Flannel Quilt Kit we headed out there.  I did get the last kit and am super excited to start it......along with the other too many projects I have ☺

After kiddo went to bed I went down to my craft room.  With all the stuff going on in my world right now that room is a disaster and sometimes the back pain is bad I can barely get downstairs.  It took me close to an hour just to clean stuff off of my sewing desk and put away properly.  By no means is the room clean, but at least I could work on one of my latest undertakings:
Meet Block # 1 of the Star Block Challenge being hosted by A Needle Pulling Thread Quilt Shop.  As usual I am very far behind (it is actually week 10 at present), and no I have not got my last years Churn Dash Challenge Quilt done, but I thought no time like the present to continue using up those scraps of fabric on my desk that I refuse to throw out!

Hope this inspires your own creativity...

Friday Feature Card...

Good Very Late Evening Internet Friends!

This is has somehow been a very long and eventful week and I just now realized that I have not blog posted all week!

Well, I do have something to show you this evening.  A very dear friend of mine who works with STARS set up a table with some of her quilting projects for the Fall Gift & Craft Show in support of STARS this weekend.

My contribution of creativity to this event was:
I think that they turned out lovely.  Of course there is some expired/retired Stampin' Up product in there so I can't just use there for my swaps next weekend (drat....).

Hubby is home this weekend, and is going to take kiddo to all his Saturday activities which means I get the day to myself!  OMG.,,,,, the plans I have for myself ☺ (we will see how much I get accomplished).

Hope this inspires your own creativity...

It's Finally Friday!!!

Good Evening Internet Friends!

I just realized as I am getting ready to post my Friday Share for Karina's Krafting Crew that somehow I have not blogged all week!!

Not sure how exactly that happened, I have done some knitting and a bit of quilting and sewing, but come to think of it nothing significant!

Thankfully the forecast is for more rain this weekend so my plan is that tomorrow will be Pajama Day!

Since it is Friday and I do not feel especially creative tonight I decided that I would make a couple of quick Birthday Cards that I could take to work and leave in my desk for such occasions.

Here is what I made:
TAH DAH!!!!

Pretty quick and easy, but kinda pretty (okay, I just like the glitter paper).

Hope this inspires your own creativity...
