This evening I worked on piecing a Table Runner that I just HAD to make because I LOVE the colours.  I saw these colours at a quilt shop and knew what I

TAH DAH!!!

The finished size will be 16 x 55" and I love that I stretches across most of my table.  😺

I made macaroni and cheese for lunch but forgot to take a picture before it was dug into.  I also baked a rhubarb streusel pie.  It was delicious!!!😋

Comfort Day

Good Evening Internet Friends.

Awoke today to an overcast and smoky sky.  There are forest fires burning in British Columbia at present.  I went out briefly this morning but my asthma did not like the air quality so I returned to my house/bubble with all it's air quality instruments etc.

This afternoon I did some knitting on my June box of Super Amazing Awesome Fingering Yarn Club 😊😁

I started these socks while in Quebec on Summer Vacation and of course since getting home and going back to work have not done a lot of work on them.  Today I was able to get the heel flap and heel done.  😺

For dinner I made fresh Tomato Dill Soup and we had the Green Onion cakes along with.  Super awesome:

This was of course comfort food to add to the perfect comfort day.

Off to Market

Good Evening Internet Friends!

Today my son and I headed off to the St Albert Farmers' Market.  There was lots of wonderful products and after stopping by the library as well we picked up some vegetables and two bags of green onion cakes.  Yum.

We did not eat any of this bounty this evening as we went out for dinner with the neighbours for my son's 13th Birthday 🎂

After dinner we ventured over to Rundle Park to check out the goats they have grazing the river valley this year.

Not a goat person, but I have to admit they are kind of cute, but they can stay in the park.

Where am I???

Good Very Late Evening Internet Friends!

First off I know that I am home and that I think I am over jet lag and holiday fun and exhaustion at the same time.  Back to work this week for four days and as of this evening I am back on vacation for another 12 days.  As of yet, I have no real plans for this vacation time.  Might go to Farmer's Market tomorrow 😊

Have done a bit of knitting this week in between important things like getting to and from work, kid to his events, and baking bread the other evening because my son does not like the taste of store bought bread:  🍞

This evening I sorted through some more of the scraps in my craft room and made:

Another Flock of Geese Block for the 52 Week Block Challenge.  Not sure what week I am supposed to be on, but this is MY current block and I feel accomplished that at least another one is made. 😲

What's the Buzz???

Good Evening Internet Friends!

We arrived back home very late Saturday or very early Sunday morning dependent on time zone that we still seem to be adjusting to and also due to a delay with departure of the plane from Ottawa.

Back to work now for two days and at home starting to get organized and some sense of normal restored. 😊.

Found this really cool fabric recently and decided on a colour way that would coordinate with my next knitting project that I hope to start soon with a pattern that I picked up while in Quebec:

TAH DAH!!!!

Now off to check on the bread I decided to bake this evening as I was too tired to stop at the market on the way home this evening.

Happy Canada Day!

Good Evening Internet Friends from a very wet Ottawa and Canada 150.

Yesterday on the flight and between naps I finished my Canada 150 socks:

These socks are a necessity in the rain today as it is not even a warm rain.....it is a cold rain.

This afternoon we spent some time inside at the Canadian Museum of History.  Not only do I love the exhibits in there, but it was dry.   One of my favourite things to see there are the totem poles:

Now to try and dry out for the fireworks this evening!  Happy Canada Day everyone and
